Subaru battles the Witch’s Cult which is managed by the cruel and derisive Satella, while continuing to learn about the land’s saddened past. The season primarily serves as a prologue because the significant characters like Roswaal L. Mathers, Reinhard van Astrea, and the others are yet to be introduced. One can say that his struggle was but enhanced the moment she was introduced into the mix, season 3 is bound to be much more challenging because of her return.

All Other Characters Can Be Considered Important In A Certain Way Aside Them Being Secondary Characters

Crusch Karsten, Felt, Anastasia Hoshin, and Julius Juukulius are some of the other secondary characters who may become crucial in Season 3.
